These options apply only when forwarding your calls to an external number.
|
Wait for answer |
How long TeleVantage rings the forwarded phone before proceeding to
the next step on your routing list (usually your voice mail). |
|
Prompt recipient for password |
If checked, when TeleVantage rings this number, the person who answers
hears a repeating prompt, “Call for [your name]. Please connect me.” To
speak to the caller, the person who answers must enter your password followed
by the pound (#) key. This helps ensure confidentiality preventing anyone
else from receiving your private calls.
If unchecked, anyone answering a forwarded call is automatically connected
to the caller. |
|
Prompt recipient to accept or decline
call |
If checked, TeleVantage asks you if you want to accept each forwarded
call. If unchecked, TeleVantage connects you immediately to forwarded
calls. |
|
Attempt Centrex/PBX transfer |
If checked, TeleVantage no longer handles a PBX/Centrex call after it
transfers the call out of the system. This field is only enabled for PBX/Centrex
dialing services. |
|
Ignore call rules and use Standard routing
list |
If checked, TeleVantage uses the standard routing list for all calls,
and ignores all call rules you have created.
If unchecked, call rules and routing lists apply as usual. Routing lists
that do not send calls to your "Where I Am" location will not
follow call forwarding, and you could miss a call. |
